Accessibility Statement
Holy Land VR is committed to ensuring that every visitor — regardless of ability — can experience the sacred sites of the Holy Land. We design and maintain this website with accessibility as a core value, in line with Israeli and international standards.
Standards We Follow
This website was designed according to Israeli Standard 5568 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the W3C.
We continuously review our content, components, and immersive 360° experiences to ensure they remain compliant as the site evolves.
Accessibility Features on This Site
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy and landmarks.
- Descriptive alternative text on all meaningful images.
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background (WCAG AA).
- Keyboard navigation support across menus, buttons, and modal dialogs.
- Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements.
- Responsive layout that adapts to screen size, zoom, and orientation.
- Reduced-motion friendly animations where possible.
- Pause, play, and mute controls on narrated 360° panorama experiences.
- Readable typography with scalable font sizes.
- ARIA labels on icon-only controls (menu, close, play, mute, VR mode).
Browser & Assistive Technology Compatibility
This site has been tested and is compatible with current versions of:
- Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Apple Safari (desktop & mobile).
- Screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
- iOS and Android operating systems with built-in accessibility tools.
- WebXR-capable browsers for optional VR headset experiences.
We recommend keeping your browser and assistive technologies up to date for the best experience.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of the website may not yet be fully accessible:
- Immersive stereoscopic VR mode requires a device with motion sensors and a modern WebXR-capable browser; it is offered as an enhancement and is not required to enjoy the tours.
- Third-party embedded media (e.g., social platforms) may not fully meet our accessibility standards.
We are actively working to address these limitations and welcome your feedback.
Accessibility Contact
If you encounter any accessibility barrier on this site, or if you would like to request content in an alternative format, please contact our accessibility coordinator. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
